Automapper Stuff: help needed |
As i play over time, and map and delete, the number of vnum that is unused slowly grows. This becomes a slight problem when i use
#loop %numroom() commands.
can anyone think of a way to perhaps.. defrag the vnums?
Also the #Mapquery command brings up that spreadsheet thing. Is there anyway to do a similar command, but echos it onto the screen instead? Something like the opposite of %roomname()?
My thanks to anyone who can help me out.

After a lot of reading and trial and error, and head banging against the monitor, i finally figured out the use of the %mapfilter function.
BUT!!!
i can only get it to search for a single word as follows:
#call %mapfilter( %concat( "Name LIKE ", "%whatever%"))
How should i set it up, so that i can filter for more words, to further reduce the possibilities?
Thanks |

You can use %mapvnum to convert any number into an actual vnum for referencing rooms. The only way to actually "defrag" the rooms would be to use Charbal's zone importer(have to find a link to it in the Finished Scripts Forum) then renumber all rooms.
What exactly are you looking to do instead of #MAPQUERY? Almost anything can be done, with almost any formatting, but I am at a loss as to what you want. |

I am trying to query for more words. E.G. I want to find the number for "Park Lane in Africa", and filtering for just "Park" word returns like 20 possibilities. I want to set it up so that i can query for perhaps "Park" and "Africa", to further reduce the possibilities.
I tried to mapfilter for "LIKE %Park% %Africa%", but can't get it to work. Is there some sort of seperating character required between every filtering word?
Thanks
And Zugg, My thanks to you . The more i know how about zMud, the more i love it. Can't wait for the ZMapper repair thing to come out, so i can actually use zMapper. |
