zmud 5.55, and loading scripts |
HI. i was wondering if zMUD 5.55 is free, if so where I could acquire it? i am using zMUD 6.16 at the moment, but the scripts from friends when I try to load them do not seem to work properly, too many syntax errors etc. i can't upgrade to a higher one either, as that messes up my already existing settings.
any help appreciated. |

1. zMUD 5.55 is NOT free
2. Unless you purchased a license for 5.55 or prior, I don't think your current license will work and I also don't think you can purchase a new license for version 5.55
3. If your friends' scripts aren't scripted correctly for 6.16, they probably weren't scripted correctly for 5.55 either
4. From 6.16 to 6.62, there have only been a few, minor changes to syntax which might require fixing, if your settings were properly scripted in the first place
5. From 6.16 to 5.55 (backwards) there were many changes/additions which would require fixing since the commands/functions/options didn't exist in the earlier version |

ahh. i just found zMUD 5.55 and downloaded.
It installs fine and everything, but I cannot get it to run on Windows XP. The top menu bar loads (File-Edit-Settings-Actions etc), but not window opens, and then it shows as 'not responding'.
any tips on how to get it to work? |
