Zmud just won't start(?)

Ok yeah hi... I'm really confused. I've got Zmud installed and everything, but when I try to run it, I get a brief hourglass cursor (about five seconds or so) and then it just returns to the normal cursor. This is the only sign of activity -- no error messages or anything.
I'm not running anything else and I've tried restarting.
Win XP Pro
Athlon XP 1900+
1024 MB RAM
130 GB free HDD space
GF4 Ti4200 w/128 MB, running 44.03 Detonator drivers
(Older video drivers didn't help. Tried that.)
I'm not sure where else to go with this problem.. besides maybe a reformat which is never fun.

The single most common cause for this is someone going in and disabling the licctrl service through control panel->administrative tools->services
Make sure the licctrl service is running, otherwise it can't decrypt the zmud executable, and allow it to run. |
