Problems with Paths

I have been using Zmud for years with no real problems.

Yesterday though I tried using it and got an error message to say something like "Data Corrupt".

I've reloaded release 6.4 and it works ok except that I seem to have lost some of my settings. My Aliases work ok, but my Paths work VERY slowly, about 1 room every 12 seconds. Can anyone help please?

Check the Migration Guide for Troubleshooting, Fixing Corrupt Settings Files and Fixing Corrupt Map Files.

Thanks for this.

However, I think the problem is more serious. I get the message 'Invalid Data!!!' as soon as I execute the Zmud program. I don't get to see the Zmud flash screen even.

This is a significantly worse problem than the one you started with. What have you changed?

Some things to check:
LicCtrl service (eLicense) is enabled
You have all the necessary MDAC, JET, and WINSOCK files for your system (see
Installing MDAC)

Other than that, I can't think of anything to suggest. Perhaps someone else will have some ideas.

I believe both of these errors are the result of the zMud.exe being changed. I would suggest you use a virus checking program on your system, or if you are certain you have no virii then backup your characters, unlicense, reinstall, and re-license.

Sorry about delays in replying... The errors only appeared after a serious viral attack on our corporate network (I use Zmud in my 'quiet' moments at work!). It seems likely that it is as a result of this that Zmud fails.

Thanks for your help. Waht would you suggest I do to fix this? Reload from scrath perhaps?
