Remote desktop

Like a few poeple out there I use Zmud at work, but there is a common no software install policy. And thouhg most poeple ignore it I thought I'd be clever and just run remote desktop to home and run zmud from there.

Well this was the plan until elicense stops this in its tracks. Anyone know if elicense bods can be proded to change this or if there is anyway around this.

Hrmm.. I don't understand why e-license would affect this at all...

Maybe try a program like Win-VNC ... it's like Remote desktop, but you can only have one desktop, you can't have multiple people logging in... and e-license shouldn't be affected in any way.

Remote desktop and elicense dont work together on purpose (to stop things like terminal services running the one legit copy of zmud for 20 unauthed users etc). VNC will work, but then you're running software that has to be installed, contraveneing the no-software policy at work...unless the exe's run from a cd/floppy. Side affect to RD/VNC is bandwidth usage, they both chew through it like no man's business and could land you in trouble with a mean IT person :/

Why oh WHY did I have pass door on...

ok i think i have solved my own problem. the elicense part of the program prevents you from starting the application.

since remote desktop will allowing to take over a existing login session on xp you can simply start zmud before you leave for work and hijack that session or have it start by remote as a local user.

it would be better if you could just burn licenses to be able to run a number of session remotely.

btw sorry about no caps..
