From Automap to Install: a few quick questions

Question 1 - My automap includes a lot of "portal rooms." These are rooms which contain, well, several portals, each of which leads to a different zone. I'm having a lot of problems getting Zmud to realize that when I type "enter portalname" or whatever, that I need it to change both rooms and zones. Typicaly, I have to load the zonemap of whatever zone I'm entering and execute a #find or just set my location manualy to get around this. Can anyone think of a way to automate it?

Question 2 - Space is at a premium on my college servers. I'd like to run Zmud there, but don't have the space to do a full install on the network drives. Can Zmud be run off of a disk in some fassion? Can I install to my hard-drive, burn the install directory to a CD and take off expecting it to work?

That's it! Thanks in advance.

Hi Killfile,

for your first question I guess the #TE - teleport command can help you, as you can specify targetroom and zone name with this.

As for your second question, I could easily launch ZMud from an installed directory(Installed under Win98, launched under Win2000), but needed to enter my registration code again. Therefor you should be fine in using another medium to have the ZMud files on.
Did you noticed these neat little USB drives out there? 128MB flash drive for the USB port :o), Win2000 detects that as a drive and you can then have fun. Okay not really cheap but very nice.

Hope that helps

Daniel
