Inherited file

I changed the primary file to charname.mud and the inherited file to mudname.mud. When I try to import alias' and triggers from a text file to the inherited nothing happens. Anyone know how to get around this problem?

Not in front of zmud, but i think this will work.

Create a dummy character. Import settings you want, save the settings as mudname.mud. Then in other character, set your inherited file to mudname.mud

What do you mean by nothing happens? Does it not import, or do the imported settings not work? Changes made to the inherited file ONLY appear after you reload your settings--ie, by closing the character and reopening it or by clicking the Settings|Load... menu option and choosing your primary settings file again.

Nothing happens. Now mind you, there are one or two alias' already there. But when attempting to import a file of alias', triggers, and variables, nothing gets imported. (This applies only to the inherited file, the primary works just fine.)
