It seems when i type the command in, the mapper doesn't want to set my current postion. Any suggestions on fixing this problem?

What version of zMud?

Try checking

http://www.zuggsoft.com/forum/search.asp

and see if anything looks like what you are looking for. I notice many things there if you are using the beta version.
