zMud displays "<" and ">" on Clandestine.
 
On the MUD I'm currently playing (Clandestine), they use lots of what looks to be quasi-XML stuff: %lt; and %gt; instead of < and >, for instance.

Some of the time, zMUD interprets this correctly and shows the correct character... some of the time, it really doesn't, and it just looks horrible. Any ideas on how to clear this up?

Go to the Preferences screen, and on the MXP page remove the checkmark next to "Enable MUD eXtension Protocol". Then log off and log back on.

This may not be the best solution, but it's the fastest one.
