Plugin help plz! |
I have a registered version of zMUD v6.16.
I downloaded the plugins, CPPIG v2.5, TrayWindows v1.1, MudReader v1.4. After doing this I installed them into the zMUD folder and none of them will work? Any Ideas what I did wrong in installing them? I even do not get them to appear at the top of the zMUD window under the plugins tab??
Also the start.wav download on you rdownload page has never worked since I have been trying to get it. (about 6 months or so)
Any help would rock!
mr. S

If I recall correctly CPPIG is deprecated, i.e. the features it provides is built in zMud 6.xx. I think the same holds true for TrayWindows, but I'm not sure. As for the Mudreader and to really confirm each of these, do as the download instructions say, and email the authors directly.

did you remember to "install" them _in_ zmud?
it is not enough to just put them in the folder you need to "install" them when you are active using zmud.
you will need to press the plugin menu
then install the plugins by finding the dlls
for CPPI it is: cppi_graphic.dll
and for mudreader is it: mudReader.dll
and i most say that even though the features of CPPI is in zmud i still like the plugin mostly because i cant make the zmud gauge "float".

Since upgrading to 6.16 and above, I've had trouble with these too. zMUD gives a protection fault and closes itself, corrupting my settings, if I install and run TrayWindows and MUDReader. I just assumed that the plugins had conflicts with the newer versions, and hoped the authors would release updated versions.
Windows ME
1g RAM
Athlon 1.4ghz
180g hd space
zMUD v6.26a

So, when you click on the Plugin menu there is no "Install Plugins..." menu item?

That's because you must look for it first. When you get this window, click on the Install button, and in the File Selection dialog window, select the plugin file.

You can do this with a child window. Just throw the gauges and other buttons into the settings window for that window, poof! Instant floatie-window.
