Bugs when more than one "other" exits in a room
 
I have made three boxes in a mapper.
which have short names, a, b, c.

a : one exit -- "other" with value "nu" linked to b

b: two exit -- "other" with value "sd" linked to a

"other" with value "nu" linked to c

c: one exit -- "other" with value "sd" linked to b

problem arises when I set my location on c
#walk a; then it enters sd;sd, however, the blue dot on the mapper doesn't go. each time I do this, I have to click FIND to let the mapper realize my location is in box a.

How to overcome this problem ? I am using zmud version 6.16.

Did you create these three rooms manually, or are you just using them as example?

I created such rooms online, the geometry is like that, as I am playing a chinese mud, so I use a, b, c to represent the room names. And I encounter such problems.

For the sake of proof, I tried to manually make such exits in the existing rooms on the map of sample mud. If there is only one uncommon exit, for example room a : two exit, one is south, another is "other" with "nu" as value. b : two exit, one is north, another with "sd" as value. (a, b, is linked up by the "other" link) It's ok, I can smoothly run through the path, whenever I double click or use #walk command on the map.

But problem arises when I replace the north exit on room b with another "nu" exit, then replace the "south" exit of room c with another "sd" exit. No matter I double click or use #walk command, the blue dot got stuck. And it is a barrier for me to complete my map with those weird direction.

Another bug found is that the help file (manually configure your mapper) reads that I can choose west but input what_ever_it_is in the "other" field to override west, but that's not true, the mapper may still regard the link as west rather than the newly entered command.

You might try going to Config, Configuration Settings from the mapper dialog and unchecking Match Description during speedwalk in the Speedwalking section.
