making my own mud

Well I apologise if this is the long place for this post but I'm looking for information on how to make my own mud. I want to make my own code base from scratch not use someone elses and I'm not quite sure where to begin. Ideally I'd like to write this to run under windows not Linux. I'm not so sure how to actually set up a server. I guess that's the first thing I need to know. Anyone have any answers? Feel free to email me at lestat_de_@hotmail.com

You are correct, this is the wrong place for your post. These forums are for the discussion of the zMUD client.
Go to the Mud Connector and check out Resources.
