Limited number of variables, triggers and aliases?

I've made a number of new triggers, variables and aliases. I save my settings. Press file and exit. Start zmud again. Connect. And the changes are gone. Have I reached a limit to the number of aliases, variables, triggers etc. that can be used??
If this is so - why don't save give an errormessage about it?

There should be no type of limiting as to how many triggers/variables/etc. you have. Did you try using the #save command as well? What version of windows are you running? If it's win2k/winXP, is the folder that zMUD is in writable? Are the .mud files inside the zMUD directory? Make sure the .mud files aren't Read-Only. Umm...can't think of anything else right now, but check those things and tell us what you found.

Another item you may wish to consider is have you turned off AutoSave in the General Preferences. Clicking on the save button attached to the edit window only runs the syntax checker, pretty printer and updates the memory copy. If you do not have Autosave on then you must manually execute saving either with the command #SAVE or from the file menu of the settings editor.
