Character Icons

I searched through the forums, and found related topics but for some reason I can't view them, so I will ask. I use Zmud 5.55 and my computer died, so I had to get a new one, now I use 7.05 and my question is this, how come I can change the character Icons?? No matter how big I resize the window it won't show the button to click on to change it. Any help would be great.

Are you sure you're looking on the correct tab? The button is on the MUD tab, to the right of the Port and Type fields.

I've seen this problem before. It's as if the form is set for a different resolution than the screen. Some dialog box texts will get cut off at the edge because of this same reason, whatever that it is. I never was able to fix it for myself, but after installing zmud on a fresh install of Win2k, it was fine.

Try deleting the ZMUD.INI file to restore the default zMUD preferences.

If that doesn't work, then go to your Video driver settings (right-click on your desktop, go to Properties). Look for the setting for "Large font" and "Small font". The location of this setting depends upon your version of Windows, but it's in the Advanced Adapter settings on my system here.

Anyway, change this to "Small fonts" and that should fix the problem with that dialog box.
