ISA/firewall question...

I have a Windows 2000 Server w/ISA server on my network. From my workstation (Windows XP Pro), I'm able to connect to any MUD; however, when I try to check for updates or update my MUDlist, it says I can't connect. Could someone help me configure my ISA server to allow these packets to go out and come in? And on the client side, which proxy option would I select in preferences?

Thanks in advance for any help! Smile

I think zMUD uses the same settings as Internet Explorer when checking for updates.

Thanks Rorso...would you know the reason why I'm not able to update the MUDlists from the program?

Ok I might have told you the wrong solution :-). It seems as it zMUD does not necessarily use the same proxy settings as Internet Explorer. If you start zMUD you should be able to go to edit->settings->proxy/firewall. There you should be able to locate a "WWW Proxy Host/Port" text field. That's where you should enter the WWW proxy settings - atleast if you use a proxy. If you don't use a proxy and something is written in the host field then you should remove that text. Sorry but the menu names I wrote here might be wrong as I use a translated version of zMUD.

Good luck

Thanks again...this may sound like a REALLY dumb question, but I am no MCSE and was wondering if ISA and proxy are 2 different things and how I can go about configuring whichever to work with zMUD.
