V7.03 Auto Log |
I just upgraded to 7.03 from 6.16 and now none of my auto logins work with my old char data. I've also started new characters on other muds and do not get prompted with any auto login questions.
Any advice? |

For the first problem, there are two things to check.
1. Make sure your characters allow Autologin
From the character selection screen, Edit a character
On the Character tab, check Automatically use this character name and password to log in
Also make sure the Name and Password are filled in
2. Make sure you have appropriate login triggers
Open the character Offline
Open the settings editor using the Triggers button
Select the Autolog class
You should have two triggers, one for the name and one for the password
The name trigger should have the command #CH
The password trigger should have the commands #PW;#T- Autolog
Both patterns should usually end with a trailing space
These triggers should usually have the following options set, Case Sensitive, Verbatim, Trigger on Trigger, and Prompt. The remaining options should usually be unchecked.
For new characters, the Autologin wizard should appear the SECOND time you login (the login questions are often different when creating new characters). If it doesn't, I don't know what to change. |

Thanks. I was able to set up the triggers, but now I get an error when they the name trigger tries to execute:
"Error executing: #CH"
"Expected statement (error 1024)on line 1, column 1"
If, after I get this error, I go into the triggers and manually execute the name trigger, the password trigger works fine.
Also, once I get the error 1 time on an open character, I can reconnect and the triggers work fine.
Bizarre... |
