Why doesent ACX Server never calibrate for me?

Manual or Automatic, it never does it, all i get is an error and try again later :/
any help?
also, anyone know the calibration numbers for January? =) |

Are you running any other 3rd party utilities, such as Decal?

I've never known why some people have trouble and others do not. Perhaps it depends upon where in the world of Dereth you are doing the calibration, or perhaps it depends upon something in your operating system. I always calibrate outside my house near Plateau and have *never* had any trouble with automatic calibration.
But the entire calibration procedure requires the ACX Server to be able to read the AC client memory and depends upon this memory being untampered with (like from some other 3rd party utility). It's possible you are running some other software on your system that is changing the memory space of the AC client. But I've calibrated using Win98, Win2000, and WinXP and have *never* had it fail. Something like this is so system dependant that it's nearly impossible to debug, and since I've never been able to reproduce any problem, there is no way for me to determine what is causing it.
Finally, if you read the other posts in this forum you will find the one that posts the calibration addresses for January's patch. |

My two cents....
it shouldnt do with the os since the mem loc's are all the same or are suppose to be the same for all os's... xp pro sp1(normal every day production box) and xp pro sp2 beta on my test box.... i think it has to do with how much ram and your location in dereth ive got 1.5gb of pc 3200 DDR aka DDR 400 on nforce 2 ultra 400 motherboards both with athlon xp 2100+ cpu's
i think you should start a poll or let someone like me start one to find out the system spec's and where they are when they located in dereth when trying to i wouldnt mind in helping out with this since i know your busy with your mail client if we can find some pattern i think the problem may be solved

I think that in Windows XP only administrators have debug access by default. Atleast that is the case for the Visual Studio debugger.

It won't calibrate for me either, and I'm not running any 3rd party software. It would really be nice if the "Latest Calibration Locations" section could be updated regularly (last updated in November) and ASAP after the monthly updates. 
Now, can someone please give me the January calibration data??
