Trial Version

I used the trial version about a year ago, or more to continue playing a mud, however, the institution i'm at now has effectively blocked the standard mud port, so, I did not bother buying the software. I have recently found a subscription service I can use to bypass the block (socks2http, and sockscap32). As i know this works by using Gmud, I would like to know if it works on the new versions of zmud, as I need an auto-recconect featuer (server resets every 5 minutes or less). However, I cannot use any of the demos, due to the registry, and I'm not comfortable messing with my registry that much. Please advise me. I will not purchase it if I don't even know if it will work with my proxy (ezmud doesnt, nore does simplemu etc.) thanks for your time.

You've used your free trial. If you aren't willing to purchase the program without additional trials, then you should probably continue looking for another client which meets your needs.

zMUD supports SOCKS, so if GMud works with it, zMUD certainly will too.

When the zMUD 7.0 public version is released in a couple of weeks, it will reset the trial so that if you used anything earlier than version 6.60 you will get a new 30 day trial.

Lightbulb, When you post, it would be nice, as your a senior member, if you atleast choose to read the entire post, not picking one phrase out of context to reply too - Why would I pay 30 bucks for a program, if I don't even know it works with the connections I have to go through? I already stated that some mud clients which claim to support proxy connections DO NOT work with my routing, and even the abdondonware version of zmud won't run so there werent too terribly many other options I have, other than posting a simple question regarding a product I had used, and liked, previously, BEFORE I had to run around a bunch of connection issues. Thank you.

As to the post from Zuggsoft customer support, thank you for your helpful and relevant post.

ZuggSoft also has a full 30 day money-back policy. You can buy zMUD and if what you want to do doesn't work, or you don't like it, you get your money back. However, like Zugg said, if you can wait until version 7.0, then you will get another trial.

The 30 day money-back policy is nice but a mess when just testing something quickly, or worried about using credit cards online. Or worried about using credit cards at all Very Happy.
