Autolog

Is there any way to get the autolot message thing back up, besides starting a new character?

Try #log to toggle the logging. And yes, you will get an echo.

It's probably easier to just fix whatever's wrong with your autologin.

If your name or password needs to be changed, start at the character selection screen. Use the Edit button instead of Connect. On the Character tab, change the name or password. If you want to use autologin, make sure "Automatically use this character name and password to log in" is checked.

If the MUD has changed its login pattern (or the Autolog wizard got it wrong) or made other changes in the login sequence (added/removed a question, "Do you want color?"), change the Autolog triggers or atconnect alias.

To find the the Autolog triggers, start from the character selection screen and use the Offline button. Click the Triggers button to open the Settings Editor. On the Class tree, select the Autolog folder. You should have two triggers, one for your name and the other for your password. Make sure the patterns match your MUD's login sequence and send appropriate commands. Typical commands are #CH for the name and #PW;#T- Autolog for the password.

The atconnect alias is used to answer questions which come before the Name question (such as, "Do you want ANSI color?"). To check the atconnect alias, click the Aliases button and check the None, Autolog, and System folders. If you have Show Inherited selected on the editors View menu, you should see a blank atconnect alias in the System folder and it should say INHERITED SETTING next to the green dot. This is correct and should be left alone. You may also have another atconnect alias, which is NOT an inherited setting and it should NOT be blank. It will override the inherited (blank) alias. If you don't need one, make sure that all you have is the inherited alias. If you do need one, make sure it has the right answers (usually a single y or n).

NOTE: #LOG controls logging to a logfile. It has nothing to do with auto login.
