Multiple #OKs |
Firstly
zMud rocks! I'm on 6.66b and it's fast, clean, pleasant to use, and although it's got its little... quirks... I love the plentiful features that can be used by anyone with a little patience.
So, anyways, this might/might not be a bug for the beta forum, but I'm too much of a coward to pretend to know what I'm talking about, so here's the problem. The mapper moves ahead of me. I turned show triggers on, this is how it looks. I (manually) enter directions to go with the keypad.
< 494h/624H 133v/135V P:Standing > Evermoor Way
Exits: -N -E
< 494h/624H 132v/135V P:Standing > n

Evermoor Way
[Evermoor Way$-> #OK]
[Evermoor Way$-> #OK]
[Evermoor Way$-> #OK]
[Evermoor Way$-> #OK]
[Evermoor Way$-> #OK]
Exits: -S -W
< 523h/624H 134v/135V P:Standing > Evermoor Way
Exits: -E -W
< 524h/624H 134v/135V P:Standing > Evermoor Way
Exits: -E -W
< 524h/624H 133v/135V P:Standing > Evermoor Way
Exits: -E -S
< 524h/624H 132v/135V P:Standing > Evermoor Way
Exits: -N -W
At which point, the multiple OKs tell the mapper I'm really several steps ahead of where the character is on the mud.
*poses like a question mark* |

This is a beta version, you are describing what is currently a beta feature, and it's possible this is a bug. You really should keep questions regarding beta versions in the beta forum, unless it's something very basic or otherwise patently unchanged.

This a bug in the current beta version. It was reported about 2 betas ago, but did not have a high enough priority to be fixed by this beta.

This is a bug in the Beta versions as has already been suggested which doesn't seem to have been fixed, however there is a work-around that did work for me.
Om the mapper window click Edit|Map Properties, now on the menu click on Speedwalkig to open up that tab. In the Speedwalking Mode selection make sure SAFE is selected, finally ensure that the very bottom option, Maximum Steps in SAFE Mode is set to 1. This should solve your problem until it is addressed in a future version of zMud.

The beta forum is private and a lot of us do not have access, hence, we have to talk about it here. It would really be a slap in the face to forbid people to talk about the beta version here, knowing full well that they don't have access to the beta forum. Personally, I wish that the beta forum were open to all zmud users, but hey, that's not my call. But at least let's permit those who are excluded from the appropiate forum to post -somewhere-.
I mean, I can't even read that forum, let alone post in it. Argh.
Ok. Sorry for complaining but that rubbed me the wrong way.
Now I'm intrigued what the original poster did by showing triggers. That's something totally new to me and it could help me troubleshoot my own mapping problems...

Anyone will get access to the forum; the application link is really just a mouse click to show that you understand the concept of a beta programs and wish to be part of beta testing.
