Zmud closes.. not sure why |
Hello, I have been running a bot for a couple days on ver 6.62 and I run WinXP Pro. When I leave it run all night, I wake up and Zmud is closed. I don't know how it closed or why but it has done so each night I have left it running. Can anyone help me out with this?

either you ran out of memory (or some other weird memory bug), or you put in something to close down ZMud.

To rephrase Matt's answer, there are two possibilities:
1. zMUD is being shut down because of an error
2. zMUD is being shutdown as a scheduled action
I'm assuming that you'd know if you were shutting down zMUD with a scheduled action such as #ALARM and #CLOSE or something similar, and that you've checked your Windows scheduler to make sure you aren't shutting it down there. That leaves errors.
Probably the quickest way to find out what's happening is to just stay up and watch. If you can't or won't do that, the next best bet is a logfile with timestamps so you can get a good idea of what time zMUD closes down. Once you know what time the problem occurs, you could try doing a session with your clock temporarily reset to let you observe what happens at that time. The most likely time for problems is midnight.
Personally, I've had problems whenever I had #ALARM running at midnight with a recurring pattern (* time pattern). I'd recommend disabling your recurring alarms a minute or two before midnight, then re-enabling them a minute or two after. This can be done by giving ID's to your recurring alarms or putting them in subclasses, then using #ALARM with a clock-time pattern.
#ALA Shutoff 23:59:00 {#T- thisalarm;#T- thatalarm;#T- alarmclass}
#ALA Startup 00:01:00 {#T+ thisalarm;#T+ thatalarm;#T+ alarmclass} |

I found out today that my computer would restart itself because of a short/some other problem with my floppy drive NOT that zmud was crashing. DOH! Just an update.
