a [] symbols trigger problem

I've been trying for the last day to figure out how to make a patterns including the [] symbols to work in a trigger. The command i type is #Trigger {str [%d} {#var str %1} but it doesnt seem to work just like all the other triggers with [] symbols i try to start. Can anyone help me on this please?
I've also tryed to substitute them to something else but that just don't work too.

Use the quote character, ~, to tell zMUD to treat it as a literal [, rather than part of the range expression.

#Trigger {str ~[%d} {#var str %1}
