Database template for quests..

Is the database only for eqs and mobs list? Are there templates out there to allow you to keep track of quests?

You can create databases to record almost anything, I suggest you read the help files, these will get you started. :)

When all else fails, read the instructions.

You don't have to use a template, they are there just to give you ideas.

... where are these templates I keep reading about?

PS: I did read the helpfiles, but, err, I'm partly, dumb, so I didn't get much out of it =(, now, hehe, where is some tutorials with pictures...hehe

PS2: oh, and if there isn't any around for me to use, anyone wanna help me set one up? I just want it so I can have err Quest DB, and like one of those thing where you click on and it open more menu?.,..

*Option 1 (click on that and you get)
_________*Option 1B (click on this and..)
___________________*Option 1B's entries
*Option 2
_________etc...like above

I play with the DB around, and couldn't get this set up to work... maybe it can't be... but still, I hope it can, if not, err, Zugg should add that ability in next version =). Just want to have that extension so I can go, Quest, then EQ (as in quest that give eqs), and err, GOLD (as in quest that give you gold)...etc..

The best tutorial I have ever found about the DB is in the help file, under the Introduction to the Database help page. It has no pictures, but everything is explained clearly with references to the buttons you have to click and text you need to enter.

The templates are supposed to be included already. When you select to make a new database, a window will pop up prompting you for the name of the database, in here you can select to make the database from scratch, or start using one of the three possible templates displayed.

Finally, the database cannot be displayed like you mentioned. There are onyl two possible views for the database, the List View and the Record View. In List View, all of the records are displayed in a list in a spreadsheet format where each row is a separate record and each column is a separate field. In Record View, a panel to the left contains a list of all records in the database and selecting one updates the right-side of the window with the information for that record.
