Updated version of 3.62a? |
Hello,
Is there any chance of an updated 3.62a? I dislike the new shareware versions and would be willing to pay for an updated version of 3.62a.
I find the later ones too big and cumbersome, but the problems with multying and general crashing in 3.62a is aggravating.
So, any chance of an updated version to fix the stability problems in it? Not for free, obviously.
Thanks for reading. |

No, no chance of that happening. You should try toying around a bit more with the new version. Generally, it can be customized to pretty much everyone's liking.

You could try 4.62 if you can find it. it had some problems with the mapper, as i recall, but i used it for years and loved it. It was also the last 16 bit version, if i remember right.
the best thing to do of course is get version 6.40, its great |

The main reason I don't like the newer version s is that it is incompatible with 3.62a, and I really don't want to relearn the syntax for little gain, as I do not use advanced features at all. I also do not like the size of it, and the split screen in 4.62a turns me off.
I knew it was a shot in the dark, but I wanted to try.
Thanks to everyone who replied.
(Also sorry for lateness of the reply) |

Actually, it has been updated many times -- first with all the version 4's, then the many version 5's, and now the numerous version 6's. Don't hold your breath waiting for Zugg to go back and write another give-away version.

Maybe Zugg could make a zMUD lite version and sell it for 10 bucks.

That has already been discussed before, and it is not going to happen any time soon.
zMUDLite = zMUD 3.62
