To do this, you'd have to keep all of your received tells in a variable. When you receive a new tell, you add it to this variable. The status window should update itself when the variable is updated.
A better alternative is to use a regular window. If you undock a new window created with #WIN, you can make it to stay on top, move it around, resize it, turn of the command line, move the title caption to the side and you do not have to keep all your tells in a variable.
