6.40 buggy for laptops

well i downloaded the latest version of zmud on my laptop and when i run the zmud the keyboard kind of goes bonkers and the letter keys become numbers and junk and wonder if thats a commn thing for laptops running zmud?

check prefs|general
uncheck the auto numlock |
