Memory Pref clears window

I was going through the preference screens, one-by-one, to see what had changed on them since 6.16. When I got to the Slow Walking screen, my main window cleared including the scrollback buffer. I checked this a few times, and it appears to happen whenever Prefs|Memory is selected and then you select another screen.

Procedure:
Get some text in the main window
Click the Prefs button on the toolbar
Click Memory in the list on the left
Click any other choice in the list

I don't know if this happened in earlier versions or not.

I've further isolated this bug... it seems to only occur when the setting Max lines in main window"s is set to something other than 1000.

I can confirm this too. Be sure to e-mail Zugg with this bug as this is the only way to be sure it gets entered into his database so it can be fixed for the next version.

I'm not sure if this is a bug. I think Zugg has talked about this before. Basically, what he does is updates the memory right then and there, causing all of the previous memory to be dumped and then setting the size. In any case, yeah, Zugg would know if this was a bug or not, since he wrote the darn thing, heh.

Yes, what you describe seems appropiate. However, the bug resides in that it shouldn't dump memory if no change is made to this setting. The way it is now it dumps memory everytime you click out of the Memory Preferences whether you made a change or not.

This has actually been the state of affairs since at least 6.22. I happen to agree with Kjata; the bug, if there is any, is that it clears when no change has been made.
