Zmud and Windows xp |
Right now when i run a alias that is more than like 10 chracters long it lock up my machine. Are there any work arounds for this

There is a known problem with some network cards and Windows XP. The network driver is not able to accept a large number of small packets, like zMUD sends when doing a speedwalk or a long alias.
Other people have solved this by updating the network driver for their network card. I ended up buying a new network card for my wife's XP system because there wasn't a new driver, and that fixed the problem also.
99% of problems with WinXP are driver problems.

What do i do if my system wont let me update my driver? It says the system cant find a better one.

Don't always trust what Windows tells you. Go to the webpage of the makers of your card and look in there to see if there are newer drivers. You might also want to try looking around in one of those driver forums.
