Highlighting only specific words |
I was wondering if there is a way to highlight specific words, via a list.
Like I have tried this, but it does not seem to work. I am not the best with triggers, but here goes.
i used #TR {({@curses})} {#CW pink,blink}
and it works fine if i am connected ONLY to my own computer. if i using a character and add the trigger, i freeze, my cpu usage goes to 100% and zmud will not respond. i tested it, and it worked fine, when i added it to a window connected to my own MUD on my own computer. Can anyone help me? i will paste all the things i am using for it.
#TR {({@curses})} {#CW pink,blink}
#VAR curses 1|2|3|4| (i have actual swear words in there on my own variable, but i just need to show you how i have done it)
I have no clue how to do it, i thought what i was doing would work. I am probably rambling, but i have been awake for 32 hours, and worked 2 shifts in that time, so im a little brain fuzzy
Thanks
(Realms of Despair is the mud i use also) |

Hrm, It seems now that it does not work on my own mud either. I will investigate further. maybe my syntax is wrong somewhere

this one's easy...you've got a typo in the string list
you end it with a |, and thats meant to be a seperator...so in effect, anything causes a response, and zmud is actually blinking what it sees, which is nothing, and just keeps ramping upwards...catch 22 kinda
Why oh WHY did I have pass door on... |

Im not sure if that is it.. but i deleted my settings, and remade them, i used only
#TR {({@curses})} {#CW blink,pink,bright}
and
#VAR curses 1|2|3|4
and it seems to work fine. i have closed and reopened the session several times, and even zmud several times, and all is good. I did check, and there was not an extra | laying in there on the variable. maybe i had some other syntax in it wrong, which did not post here right. or maybe im just to braindead. |

i pasted your original post's strings into my zmud, and it twigged out at
#VAR curses 1|2|3|4|, without the last | things were fine for me...simple typo :)
