i havent heard of this happening. if i was you, i'd disable the soundcard before trying to load zmud, and when (if) zmud loads i'd find the preferences for disabling sounds in it as well, and reenable sound card. but thats just me taking a wild stab

Why oh WHY did I have pass door on...

I've had a similar problem... but mine crashes on connect rather than on load. Though it does occasioninaly crash on load. Double check your process list to make sure Zmud.exe isn't still running (even though the system seems to have crashed)

Under XP, i've had friends who couldnt even load zmud. Turns out they'd disabled a heap of services "cos i dont use them or know what they are anyway". Yep, LicCtrl was disabled each time :P Doesnt sound like its the problem here tho :/
