quick question

I can't seem to get zmud installed. Using WinXP and it doesn't seem to recognize some file formats.

What exactly happens? Do you get an error midway through installation? Does zMUD not run after you install it? What do you mean by not recognizing some file format? Did you make sure you were logged on as a user with Administrator priviledges when you installed zMUD? Did you make sure you were logged on as a user with Administrator priviledges when you first ran zMUD? Need more info.

when I try to install I get this error message during initialization:

Your downloaded file probably got corrupted. Try deleting it and downloading the installer again.

The CRC error means the file was downloaded in the wrong format (ie, ascii instead of binary). What you need to do is to right-click on the link and select Save Target As..., which will bring up a file dialog box where you should be able to specify name and perhaps format.
