Using Zmud in Chat

I hope that my question can be answered here. Im using my Zmud in chat. My question is my name isnt showing up in the room im talking in. When i speak it just says, hi or whatever i type and gives a error message. How do i fix this and how do i make it stop echoing back what i say?

If I understand correctly, you at a certain point, want to chat with another in the mud
and you do not wish to see the commands you type echo'd when you enter them.

1)
View->Preferences->Script Parser
[ ] Echo Commands

Uncheck that box to not see what you type in echo'd to you.

2)
There probably isn't any time when the mud will accept what you type and automatically
have it "chat"

You will have to use say message or put a channel name in front
of your message with a channel like chat/gossip/etc.

Is that what you are trying to say?

I think he/she is talking about a chat-server, not a mud..

In which case we'll need to know which one, and what the commands are.. It sounds like you aren't in the rom you want to be in, and so your commands aren't being recognised?

You need to find out then what commands are valid in that chat. It definitely does not seem like a problem with zMUD.
