Multiline Triggers? |
#TRIGGER {^You are prepared to do the skill.$You try to bash X but fall flat on your face.$} {#ECHO bash skill}
You'll have to see what you can tie into
to distinguish the second line by itself
for your shielf fail.

I've posted earlier on this very same issue. With the newest version of zMUD you can use trigger states to trigger only on a specific sucsession of patterns. I.E. when the first line is triggered a new trigger is turned on that matches the second line, but only when the first trigger is matched. Thus only those two lines in sucession with result in an action preformed. For specifics on syntax for this type of triggering, please read the help on trigger states and combining triggers into one trigger. I would suggest using this method and the method mentioned above and see which is to your liking (i.e. success of trigger to preform as desired and speedy-ness of zMUD to do it).

Kognesty,
You are referring to the beta version. The General forum is intended primarily for the public versions, and all questions are presumed to refer to the latest public version (6.16 at the moment) unless otherwise specified. Please refrain from suggesting solutions in this forum that will only work for beta users.

Still, it's not a bad idea to mention what's possible in the latest beta.
