Can't edit aliases |
I use 6.16 registered. On my previous install whenever i double clicked an alias, trigger whatever, i got a new box where i could edit it. I just had to reinstall windows, so now i got a fresh install of zmud too. I imported settings from the old settings file, all seems good.
But whenever i double click an alais or trigger now, all that happens is the main menu box just expands downward. I get no windows or anything where i can edit the alias. So in other words i can't edit anything at all now. No matter if its macros ,buttos, triggers or aliases. Whenever i double click or right click + edit, i get nothing.
Iwould really appreciate some help here, its probably something easy, but i've gone through all settings and preferences, can't find anything that fixes this. |

Sounds like you "lost" the Edit <type> window that is usually docked to
the Settings Editor.
How about a try of Layout->Reset Windows->Settings Editor.
If not we'll pick on the .dok file

Layout-reset windows-settings editor is greyed out. All i can do there is reset current window and all windows.
This is really frustrating :/ |

Hmm I'd not expect that if your settings editor was open unless you had 2 sessions
open and you were trying to reset from a session with no open settings editor.
Off to search the forum for something similar. I have not encountered that for ages
and can not seem to duplicate it. When ever I kill my Edit Alias window, the right
click/edit on an alias re-opens it.

Searching.. found:
Suggestion of closing zMud, rename the settings.dok to settings.bak, start zMud |
