Graphical Prompt |
Ok.. next up.
Graphical prompt.
Though I like numeric values for mudding, I also enjoy change and depending on certain muds, a graphical prompt may make the experience more interesting.
I wouldn't know exactly where to start
For example: <100hp 100m 100mv> (not my prompt, but I'll alter it to what it should be)
To be changed to something along these lines:
< hp: ||||||| > so on and so forth. Come to think about it, that's pretty ugly =P I'd make a better design to not put any help to shame.
Thanks

hmmm
Was thinking about it...
To equally seperate the |'s by color.. red, yellow, green or something..
Thought I'd know how to do that, was thinking of just using the mud's ansi.. but I just smacked myself, doubt that will work

Ok, next time.. I think EVERYTHING through before I click on "post"
Any way to make it overlap the current prompt? Or will it appear underneath the window?

Have you thought about using gauges?

I was thinking more along the lines of having a small window open, displaying a small version of my "score" showing stats, hit, dam. And putting the stats in a guage..
Me and my goofy ideas

there is a graphical gauge plugin for zmud 6.16, look in the download section. maybe it gives you some ideas, if you can't use it right away...

zMUD also has built-in graphical gauges since 6.09b
Take a look at the #GAGUE command entry in the help file. I think there is also another help file entry that alks a little bit more in detail about how to create gauges, but I can remember which one right now. Basically, a gauge is just a button with it's type set to gauge and some special settings under the Gauge tab in the editor.
