Automapper in SWR |
Hello,
I already solved part of my problem reading through here, but part still eludes me.
The MUD I play on is SWR (Star Wars Reality) based, and I know the situation is probably common to others with this code. Here's a sample room capture.
------------------------
A City Street
You can see you reflection in several of the transparisteel windows as you
pass by.You hear a scream far of in the distance. A swoop rider passes
quickly by weaving in and out of pedestrians and other vehicles. You think
you can make out several shady figures talking down a dark alleyway.A slight
breeze blows through the tall buildings. In between the many towers you can
see down into depths of the lower city.
Obvious exits:
East - A City Street
West - A City Street
A human citizen walks quickly down the street.
A human citizen walks quickly down the street.
------------------------
The exits all show on seprate lines, with the exit name at the beginning. The mob descriptions, unfortunatly, contain the word "down", causing the automapper to think that is an exit as well. These citizens exist in great numbers, so my mapps end up with 95% of the rooms in certain areas having false down exits. This used to cause follow to not work as well, but I fixed that by switching to fast mode.
Is there any way to make the automapper only register exits if the keyword is the first word in the line? Thanks in advance. |

You could try setting the 'keyword' to "%w - *". So that it looks for a '-' in the text.

That sounds like a good solution to me, could you tell me how to go about it?
I'm not using any sort of script for mapping, just the plain automapper. I would be fine with using one or something if I need to to do this. |
