Beginner Help with Aliases |
It's been a long, long time since I've used either zMUD or cMUd, but currently using cMUD. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to create an alias. It's a lot different from what I remember it being ages ago where you just gave it your shortcut command and the full one, and boom! It did the rest for you. That said, I've looked at the guide and poked around on the forums and none of it is really helpful. I need the basics. And, I mean the real basics. I need to change a super basic command, in this case cast 'magic stone' into ms, but I just cannot figure out how to do it. I have minimal coding experience and am just staring at the box and scratching my head like an idiot, lol. Thanks in advance!

Quick and dirty it is, enter this on your command line:
#ALIAS ms {cast 'magic stone'} |

Super helpful, thank you!
Next problem, lol.
When I go to use the alias- it is registering- but now it's asking me who I want to cast the spell on, which means it's not picking up the target name after the alias.
When I type in 'ms [target name]' it isn't accepting that I've put a target after the alias. |

Easy fix, edit it, and add %params at the end.

Awesome! Now we're getting somewhere. You've been super helpful. Thank you so much!
Every "guide" I've looked at hasn't explained anything. It just says what aliases are. Which isn't helpful. lol |
