Error Opening PCRE810.dll |
I get this error message when starting CMUD as of yesterday evening. Reinstalling does not help. Nor does rebooting. Nor does turning off my antivirus. Nor does swapping settings directories so that I have no files from previous installations being referenced. What should I do?

I usually only get that error when I try to open CMUD while Windows is still resolving various startup routines.
Do you have any other active programs running? |

Other programs are running, but this occurs regardless of whether the computer is still starting up or has been running for hours. There is nothing in my process list that had not been there intermittently during the years for which this version of CMUD (the latest) worked flawlessly.

I suggest you check your anti-virus logs and quarantine folder - it might have decided that the file was suspicious and removed it.

Nah I have tried turning off the antivirus and running without it, even freshly installing after turning off the antivirus.
The only thing this error truly stops (though it imposes lag on startup for about 30 seconds) is pattern matching. None of my triggers set to match screen output are working at all. The triggers section even says "pattern does not match" when it clearly does (i.e. when I've typed the same line twice). |
