Manual PATH Break Command |
Hello all,
Need your help, and appreciate you all. I use pathways to get from one place to another, and often times input #wait, and other mud commands between the directions. (typically by manual entry of a (example: .portal) command.
However, there are times I need to _break_ the path sequence, and stop my character. (Similar to when it pauses, if you click and hold on the slider bar) As the character moves, I can still send tells, and interact with the mud... but I can't find a way to manually BREAK the path, and stop the client from continuing to send commands for that path to the mud.
This often occurs when something causes my character to deviate from the path. (Random StuffCode trap, wizard decides to port me to their room, some random creature attacks and deviates me from my path...etc.)
I wish I had more time to build a much more robust way of moving from place to place, and auto picking up stuff, but I don't. I've searched the forum, to find a way to break the path, but cannot find anything. (Or am just too uneducated to understand) I am providing a simple example below. Note...this is a blip compared to some I use, as this mud is enormous, and often requires complex paths to navigate to far ends. (Waiting, interacting with objects...etc.)
EXAMPLE OF A (very short) PATH:
Command: .portal
Executed Path:
e
leave
exit
dismantle trap
get all stuff
s
leave
exit
dismantle trap
get all stuff
s
leave
exit
dismantle trap
get all stuff
w

dismantle trap

Paths are only meant to be the travel commands.
To break out of a path you have to be #SLOW walking that path.
Then you have access to the #STEP #OK #STOP and #PAUSE commands.
What you are talking about is more of a bot and will require triggers as well to get full functionality. |
