Issue with Viewing Database Records in Views |
Hi everyone,
Running cMud 2.37
So I was super excited to finally get my pattern matching, triggers, and database record creation down.
I then open up the database and when looking at the view I have set up, I do not see any values within the fields unless I click on them! They are then highlighted in blue and I can see it. I initially thought maybe the text was somehow set to white with a white background, but then I click on the View tab itself to navigate away, the highlighted blue disappears and the field is viable in the normal black font.
I am also only able to see each field as I click on it, the other fields show blank until I click in them! Making this whole database thing kinda pointless
Has anyone seen this behavior or know how to fix?
Thanks! |

Ok sorry! it was in fact related to two things.
1) The color does matter, they were left to default white, on black background. However the background is not black in the list, but the font is white... therefore you have white on white. Kinda weird. So change to black on black and then you will have black on white in the list. lol.
2) If you don't select a display type (such as general) in a numerical field, then it won't display until you click on it. :)
Now I can see my database list! ;P |

Glad you got it sorted out.
CMUD also has these things called database variables which are quite handy.
type #HELP
enter "showdb" in the search field
and select database variables for more info |
