Mapper in offline mode

Hi.

1. I'm playing with the ZMUD mapper and have stumbled upon an obstacle. I've found a large area where there're no directions to move anywhere returned by the MUD. In reality you can move in every direction (N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, W, NW), imagine a desert where you can move in each direction.

As much as the mapper follows me around when there're directions returned by the MUD for places like this I have to map manually which is troublesome as I have to manually create each room, link it in all directions with another room etc.

The built in "Keyboard creation" for offline mode isn't working for me and ideally I'd like to create it in offline mode as it's quite dangerous there.

2. Is there some way where I can highlight 25 rooms and have the mapper automatically link each and every room for every direction?

Thanks! : )

2. Unfortunately not.
1. What steps are you following when trying to make your map?
Aside from being disconnected at the time, the map still needs to be in mapping mode.
Just use the standard keypad macros to move as usual and it should create links and rooms as you go... all the room data will be blank of course, aside from the Cardinals.

When offline in mapping mode I create a room, place myself in it and move in various directions but nothing is happening.

I've noticed that in the bottom right corner the mapper did register my movement but it says e.g. "Queue: n" and nothing is happening. Further movement in other directions doesn't replace the "Queue: n" and it seems that the "n" is stuck in the queue forever.

Aha... under the zone menu, toggle keyboard creation.

Yes, I have "Keyboard creation" ticked and I get my directions queued in offline mode which result in nothing happening.

That is odd, I was able to do it in a blank setting just fine (just hit escape at the session selection window).
You might have a corruption issue.
Does the mapper work for you properly in creating areas when you are online?
