ZMUD 7.21 Win 8.1

i change font size, etc but it isn't saving.
i looked under Prefs>directories>seetings file .. it is set to "other" , with no path listed... should
this point to a main mud file?.. or should it point to the ...player.mud file for each character?

i recently downloaded and installed Zmud 7.21 on a new comp, and just copied the ...(player).mud files
from my old comp to the new one on a flash drive.... is there a better way to do this?

I might not be correct in this.. But what I've found with newer versions of windows and zMUD is that you don't have the rights to save in the folder in the new windows.

So, you'd want to go make sure that the folder with zMUD in it is not read only. You'd want to run zMUD as an admin, and if that doesn't work, change the security on the folder to include your user account as having permissions.

Then you should be able to save..
