Can't seem to save macro changes

I've been trying to create macros, and they appear to save, but when I shut down Zmud and restart the program, they are gone. This leads to me having to recreate all my macros each time I play, which is a horrendous pain in the butt.

I am running Windows 8, 64 bit, and playing a version of Majormud.

When I create new macros, they work during the session I create them, but no matter how many times I try to save them, they just don't stick around. What gives?

Install ZMud somewhere other than Program Files. It's not aware of the file-priveleges changes introduced in Vista, so where you install it is where it will write its data. Since Vista and beyond do not allow you to write to system-protected locations (such as Program Files), your save attempts will fail.
