Oh no...There's an error when I try to open a session. A solution found |
I have tried to uninstall and then re-install cmud, but the problem persists. Also after reading a few forum posts thought it might be something with the Norton firewall. Same results.
I operate the latest version of cmud on windows 7 with a 64bit op. system.
I have recently tried using the auto mapper for cmud, this will make more sense in a minute. Since the first time I thought that I had made a successful map I have been unable to open a session. The zone has penguins for mobs and hence the name of the map is...? Penguins. Every time I try to open a session I get the following error reports. Sometimes I am able to move past the first error report and receive this second error report:
C:/Users/savus/Documents/maps.penguin.1.dbm is not a valid SQLite database.
The second error report:
Access violation at address 009F2977 in module 'cMUD.exe'.
Read of address 00000034.
I have also tried opening a new session and receive:
Access violation at address 00A51C27 in module 'cMUD.exe'
Write of address 00000004. |

Assuming this happens on newly-created sessions as well, then you have a corrupt sessions.db file. See the sticky on how to deal with corruption.

I have downloaded map converter 1.7, and repaired and converted all of the map files I could find. Still no luck. :( It is giving me the same error report that is in the first post.
After that I uninstalled cmud again and deleted every map file that I could find. When I re-installed cmud and tried to open a session cmud tried to convert old map files I thought I had deleted and then gave me this report:
Cannot open old map files.
Load map in zMud 7.21 to convert it before loading into Cmud
Table VersTbl not found
After receiving this message I tried to open the session again and got this error report:
SQL Error: SQL logic error or missing database.
Every time I re-install cmud it brings back these map files that I had previously deleted. Is there a way to start from scratch and install cmud with out it bringing back these old map files? |

Trying several of the recommended fixes for data corruption with no results I decided to go with a factory reset. After reinstalling cmud and retrieving license key everything seems to be cool. :)
