Access violation error |
I'm getting the following error when I try to open a session. I've gotten it or something similar in the past and reinstalled to circumvent it. I'm wondering it there is an easier solution.
Access violation at address 00DE0022 in module ‘cMUD.exe’.
Read of address 373737D5
I'm running CMUD 3.34 on a Win 7 machine. |

That doesn't really help us any. I just created a sticky topic outlining the corruption-fixing messages, so try those to see if it fixes the issue.

Ok. Other characters using the same English Directions, English Keypad and Clickable URLs ans their respective packages are working fine. One character causes the access violation when I try and open the session in online or offline mode.
I've tried copying another character's package to a test package and using that to try to open the wonky session. I've had no luck that same session works with it's original character but I still get the violation when I open the wonky session.
I'm at a loss as to what to try next.

Problem fixed the old fashioned way. I saved everything into an XML file when the Access Violation. Uninstalled, reinstalled, imported the XML back and it all works now. I had to keep rebooting and retrying to get 'in' the corrpt setting to make the XML thing work. It looks like the import/export doesn't transfer the Violation.
