mapper...

How come, when I have room/desc/exit unchecked, the mapper reconfigured and in safe/slowwalking mode..
The.. mapper still makes a new room when my prompt is received? I thought I would use #ok commands.
Help me please
:(

It's because you reconfigured. If you want to change mapper configuration properties, reconfigure first and then go to the Mapper Configuration window and change what you want to change.

Nope.

I have the mapper reconfigured, I have room/desc/exit unchecked. I did it again to make sure.

I move into a door, the mapper creates a room. Why? It's not supposed to. It has no information. I was hoping to use #ok. So, now what? Thanks.

What happens is quite simple, I walk into a door, and the mapper creates a new room.

Well since the mapper has nothing to go by, you have essentially put it into keyboard creation mode... I think.

Ok, so the mapper has nothing to go by. Then why does it make a room? I enter a direction, it receives a line, so it makes a room? I thought I told it not do that.
I have made a script?.. to make room name, desc, exits, vnum, roomflags..

For this problem I need the mapper to stop making a room unless I tell it to with a command like #ok. Is there an option somewhere I missed?
Thanks.

try this
#TR {*} {#NOMAP}
then just use the #MAKEROOM command

It creates two rooms. It is still reading off of something, and moving me.

I'm setting up my mapper to:
Go to and link any room already in existence instead of creating a new one.
Make a new room if vnum is new instead of overwriting rooms.

But, this thing with the mapper creating a room on its own is stumping me. I don't want the mapper to do that.

Changed #NOMAP to #NODIR. That seems to stop it.

I think I'm overcoming this hill.
