need help with ObjID vNum

Ok this seems to be a major problem for me. And it's annoying..
When I make an exit that is a portal to another room (enter portal) I point it to a vnum..
But it points to the ObjID. I need help. I want it to point to the room with the vnum "17000"
Not the room with the ObjID "17000"
