Zuggsoft.com search doesn't prioritize manual pages |
For example, I search for "command line". I'm looking for this page:
http://forums.zuggsoft.com/kb/cmud_basic
But when I use the search feature, it does not show up.
You might get a lot less obvious questions if the content on the manual showed up on search.
Oh I see what you're doing. You're using Google to search forums.zuggsoft.com.
Google probably prioritizes newest content, which is the problem.
Maybe you can somehow get it to display result from forums.zuggsoft.com/modules/ first.
Or just put all manual pages in one page so that we can just search from the browser. |

I think the preferred method of accessing the manual is through Cmud rather than zuggsoft.com
That page you've referenced, for example, is available by opening up the help files and clicking under Cmud Manual -> Getting Started -> Basic Usage. If you know the heading that what you're looking for is saved under, you can get right to it by typing '#HELP basic usage' from the command line. I find that especially useful for quickly checking the syntax of commands. The search feature in the integrated help files is also much more intuitive and confined to the manual. |

Another useful method for a quick reference, just type the command or function on the command line and press F1

You are using the wrong search feature. The google searchbar is rendered ineffective for everything given how Google rates websites (and since we're basically a collection of millions of dynamically created webpages we have a very high search rating.) The search feature you want to use is located within the dropdown menu under the Site heading.

Oh hey! This is what I needed. It doesn't really sort by relevance, but it's better than Google at least. Cheers! |
