cMUD Map - how to gray out room connector lines for other levels

Wondering how to turn off room connector lines for the level BELOW current level (ie, I am standing on level 0, and seeing room connector lines on level -1). In version 2.37, rooms BELOW current level used to be grayed out, along with room connectors and arrows.

Now, in v3.33, rooms below are grayed out (by options), arrows are grayed out, but room connectors are still black. This is really confusing my maps - unable to tell that the connector line north is actually for the room below my current room, and I don't actually have a path north on my current level. This also applies to rooms above - I am seeing their connector lines as black also.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

You can try messing with the Solid Below/Solid Above options in the Appearance|Colors section of Map Configuration Properties, but I'm not sure that's going to affect anything that intersects the current level (ie, leaves from or arrives in a room on current level.)

If the Solid option is turned off, the lines are not drawn; when turned on, the lines are colored according to the appropriate Level Above/Level Below color.

I agree with you on the SOLID ON appearance... the connectors are drawn in the color of the rooms for that level.

But I disagree with you on SOLID OFF appearance (the option I had chosen for both above and below, since default settings have all levels with the same color rooms). The connectors are visible and are drawn in BLACK, which is what prompted my post.

Any other options / ideas?

I've been having this problem, also, with CMUD 3.33a (plus several previous versions, I believe - have been away from active Mudding for few weeks) displaying the rooms, themselves, colored and solid or not as per Map Preferences/Appearance/Colors. However, connections between rooms on BOTH adjacent levels appear in solid black. This is the case, even if you turn the current level's line color to white or any other color... the adjacent levels' lines show as solid black. Kludgy work-around is to raise or drop adjacent levels by one extra so that you are only mapping on every other level; i.e., current level is level 0, level above is on +2, level below is on -2. Of course, this eliminates seeing the solid or outline room above or below, which is less than ideal. Mud computer operating XP SP3.
