[3.33a] Issues with #DIR, %lastidr, and #MOVE

Hey All,
I tried reassigning some of my directions so the mapper would send ! before the characters. So I did the following:
#DIR we "~!w|w|west" ~!w
This mostly worked, however when I do a #MOVE %lastdir, %lastdir has w in it and the #MOVE doesn't work. I could just add a "!" to it like #MOVE "!"%lastdir, but is there a reason why %lastdir didn't return it? Why shouldn't a w still work in #MOVE as it is still in the list.
